Gwinnett’s Solid Waste Services Changes Will Not Effect Suwanee
October 4th, 2008 Categories: Gwinnett County
In 2009, Gwinnett County will begin its district-based contract system for sanitation services managed
and operated through the office of Gwinnett Clean & Beautiful on behalf of the county. For now, these changes will not effect the residents within the City of Suwanee. Suwanee residents will continue to select their own sanitation services providers, while city officials observe the new Gwinnett county solid waste management system and continue to evaluate a variety of possible options for future services.
The City of Suwanee shares many of the same goals as Gwinnett county in upgrading the solid waste management systems within our community. These goals include expanding recycling opportunities, saving energy, improving collection efficiencies, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, environmental enhancements and improving resident quality of life. As city officials analyze Suwanee’s needs in 2009, opportunites will be provided for citizen input and feedback throughout the process.

September 9th, 2008 Categories: Suwanee Fun
The River Club is one Suwanee’s premier neighborhoods with its luxury homes along the bank of the Chattahoochee River and surrounding its Greg Norman-designed golf course. Crescent Communities is announcing a new phase, called River Valley, within this luxury nature reserve community. The 35 new pre-construction home sites are being sold now in serene locations near the banks of the Chattahoochee near The Lodge and on the 10th and 16th holes of the golf course. Buyers will be able to purchase these sites now then design and build the home of their dreams when the timing is right for them.
The sites average about two-thirds of an acre with homes planned to be up to 4,500 square feet. Sidewalks are planned to connect the new homes to the existing neighborhood and its surrounding native Georgia mature landscaping.
The River Club’s existing amenities include the 18-hole Greg Norman golf course with beautiful views of the Chattahoochee River, walking trails, eight lighted tennis courts, swimming pools, fitness center and the Lakeside Family Sports Center. The new Lodge at The River Club pampers the residents with a large main dining room, several beautiful verandas, six fireplaces, member’s lounge, men’s and ladies’ locker rooms, and a fully equipped pro shop.
This new addition marks a bold move by the developer, Crescent Communities, to recognize the continuing growth in the Suwanee community and the recognition of opportunities even in today’s residential housing market. This again is proof that real estate is always about location, location, location and there is no national real estate market. There are thousands of individual real estate markets with each region or city, and each neigborhood is responding to economic situations in its own unique wa.
